January 13, 2023 – Last weekend, January 7th & 8th , a group of adolescents was trained and prepared to wear the Inreda AP® for three weeks for a study. Five adolescents were brave enough to start last weekend with a completely new treatment for them. To highlight these people for their brave decision to participate, the NOS Jeugdjournaal (News program for youth) visited by to make a report. The NOS Jeugdjournaal joined the whole day and visualized the process and training. They broadcasted the report on January 8th at 19:00h on NPO3.
A total of twenty adolescents will test the Inreda AP® as part of the study. The first seven adolescents have already worn the system for three weeks, and now it is the turn of the second group of five adolescents. Eventually, a third and final group will follow. And the goal of this study? To demonstrate that a bi-hormonal closed-loop system is also safe and effective for adolescents between the ages of 12 and 18. A positive result will contribute to the availability the Inreda AP® in the future.
